Sometimes it's impossible to avoid such toxic people, especially if they are family. But emotional vampires like this person are better left far, far away.
ReplyDeleteDon't you dare let her have this power over you. The power to make you so angry and hateful just like she is. The best (and worst) thing you could ever do to her is to utterly ignore her. Not another word, ever. No reaction. It will drive her bonkers and it is most satisfying.
Let her (and possibly other family members) be crystal clear that you do not wish to speak of her or be near her. For YOUR health. No need to elaborate or give details. Make the statement and move on.
